This mattress is a product of the space age. Visco-elastic foam is a unique technology originally developed by NASA. When you lie down on a mattress made of this amazing “memory foam” material, the heat and pressure sensitive foam reacts to your body’s weight and temperature so that it conforms to your unique shape. The memory cell structure becomes softer in warmer areas, where your body is making the most contact with the surface, and remains firmer in cooler areas where less body contact is made. This helps to distribute pressure over the mattress surface area. Memory cells will actually shift and redistribute themselves -- providing the perfect balance between comfort and support.
On visco-elastic memory foam, you will “sink in” as you lie down. The heavier parts of your body, like your hips, will sink in further that the lighter parts -- like your feet. All gaps underneath your body are eliminated as the mattress molds to your shape providing anatomically correct position support. When you rise up, the amazing visco-elastic material will return to its original shape.
Our visco-elastic memory foam mattresses consist of a 3” layer of visco-elastic material laminated to 5” (standard) or 7” (deluxe) of High Resiliency Foam base. The cover is an “Aspen White” Channel quilted European stretch-knot cover with Natural Rayon and Holofil. This quilted cover offers additional body comfort, airflow barrier and features a non-skid bottom cloth and perimeter zipper for easy removal and replacement for drycleaning. The contemporary and elegant syling of our covers gives our mattress a very sleek, attractive and exclusive appearance.
The mattress thickness of our standard memory foam zip top mattress is approximately 8 inches.
The mattress thickness of our deluxe memory foam zip top mattress is approximately 10 inches and feels a little softer than our 8 inch mattress.
