Our most popular mattresses are made with inner-spring coils. Most people are used to sleeping on an inner-spring mattress and prefer to continue to sleep on one. Unlike most companies, we construct all of our inner-spring mattresses specifically for bending on adjustable beds. The materials and workmanship we provide are so superior that we can include our mattresses in our lifetime warranty.
 Most companies use the same round or Bonnel coils they use in flat beds. But when the mattress bends, the round coils can overlap each other and tend to rub the mattress from the inside out -- which shortens the life of the mattress. We use a patented 330-coil, 13-gauge, dual tempered, double-offset steel spring which has two flat edges so they can be hinged together. They don’t overlap and they allow the mattress to contour better to your body. Their unique “hinging action” eliminates pressure points and the five turns of the spring provide perfect angles necessary to provide proper body lift -- and maintain proper spinal alignment.
Most people don’t realize that when the bed is elevated most of your body weight is in the center section of the mattress. To prevent mattress sagging -- which can plague many adjustable bed mattresses -- a Flexilator in the center-third (center torso area) provides extra firmness and support where it’s needed most. This complements the overall design and disperses your weight outward -- while ensuring consistent, more durable mattress life.
 One of the biggest advantages of our coil mattresses is the border edge support. Flat bed mattresses have a border wire that goes around the top and bottom of a mattress which keeps the springs in place. Adjustable bed mattresses don’t have that wire so they will bend more easily. Without a border support there is nothing to keep the springs from collapsing when you are getting in or out of bed. And, if you’re not sleeping exactly in the center of your mattress, you almost feel like you’re slanting to one side. We don’t have that problem because our exclusive border edge protection system features high-density foam, hand-packed into the border edge coils, to enhance their “under-load” lift capabilities without diminishing the ability of the coils to hinge and flex. Border edge protection assures even edge-to-edge support and firmness while guarding against border edge breakdown.
Our inner-spring coil mattresses are covered in a cotton blend “Sierra” quality damask cover -- and are deep-quilted with super-soft high-density foam and holofil fibers to create a luxuriously comfortable sleep surface. The covers are laminated to the interior upholstery layers to eliminate bunching or shifting of the cover during movement of the adjustable base. All upholstery layers are attached with steel clips to every coil -- top and bottom -- around the perimeter and attach to the borders with their matching fabric handles sewn into the border edges for easy adjusting. |
Our inner-spring pillowtop mattress is made the exact same way as the inner-spring dual-firm reversible mattress – except for the addition of the European pillowtop layers on both sides. Pillowtop styles are for people who prefer a softer mattress. This pillowtop mattress also has a dual firmness. One side is medium and the other side is softer. These reversible mattresses are Euro-style with full-surface sheeting layer and inner button tufted. There is a one-inch high-density, super-soft, full-surface foam topper laminated to the sheeting layer and quilted to the pillowtop. Our pillowtop mattress is approximately 13 inches thick.
